The common dream was for Bruce and Ron to someday take over the family dairy farm.  Bruce wanted to become a veterinarian; Ron was to be the succeeding farmer and work with Bruce.  Family patriarch Walter decided in 1971, even though Ron was a partner, to sell out! The partnership had no written plans.  Walter’s philosophy was “Isn’t a handshake and my word good enough?”. The herd was sold at record prices in 1971. The Eber-Lea prefix became scattered across the country. God had to have had a hand in all of it.

Everyone went in different directions - Ron to create Eberhard Planning Services – now Business & Estate Planning Services Unlimited. Bruce, after graduation from Ohio State, became one of the country’s top embryologists, and Walter became “King” of the Grove City Senior Citizens!

Ron busied himself helping families and business owners with business and estate planning. Speaking across the country, a main theme was the virtue of putting “promises in writing”.

Bruce traveled throughout the US and Europe in his work. Then Zoey Nicole arrived in 1996 to rearrange his and wife Jondra’s lives - fulltime.  Bruce eventually came off the road to be a full time Dad so Jondra could continue as a sales representative in the packaging industry. Daughter Quinn makes up the rest of their family.

The farm was sold in 2004 to become the hub of the Pinnacle Golf Club. Our office now overlooks the 8th hole and the scenic 5th tee.

Throughout recent years, Bruce helped with BEPSU’s work via computer networking and in 2006 became a full-time associate.  The paperwork – signed and delivered - is in place for Bruce to own and control it all come Ron’s demise or retirement… whichever comes first.
